Ellenzweig is providing program verification, lab planning, design, and construction administration services for the renovations and addition to the existing Physical Science Building. The new building will provide teaching and research laboratories for Anthropology and Archaeology, Physics, Chemistry, and Biochemistry. Additional spaces include offices, shared spaces, a 120-seat lecture hall, a gallery, a computer lab powered by rooftop turbines, and a Science Discovery Center for public-school outreach programs.

The project included analysis of the existing building infrastructure and upgrades to aged mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. As the campus has limited swing space available, the project also requires a thorough utilization survey of existing teaching spaces, a comprehensive surge analysis, and a construction phasing strategy. Construction completion is scheduled for 2016.  This building is designed to achieve a minimum of LEED Silver certification.
