Steve Mahler is one of our most experienced, highly skilled senior project managers. As an architect passionately committed to sustainable practices, he also directs Ellenzweig’s environmental stewardship initiatives.

Steve excels in managing technically and programmatically complex projects with accelerated schedules, varied delivery methods, and aggressive carbon reduction goals. He takes special pride in collaborating with his clients to solve project challenges along the way to successful completion. Steve is a frequent speaker at national conferences including Society for College and University Planning (SCUP), Tradeline, and the International Institute for Sustainable Laboratories (I2SL) on topics relating to laboratory design, sustainability, and project management. Additionally, Steve contributes to the firm’s continuing education and mentoring programs.

Steve’s current and recent clients include Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stony Brook University, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, New York State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Cornell University, and Yale University. He has also completed projects for Brown University, University at Buffalo, Iowa State University, Purdue University, and University of Utah.
