Stewardship of the planet

As an architecture firm specializing in buildings for science—which can be highly resource-intensive and present unique environmental challenges—we have for many years devoted special attention to energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.  We are a signatory to the American Institute 2030 Commitment and its goal of carbon-neutral buildings.  Our recent projects include Net-Zero-Ready new building designs and Deep Energy Retrofit teaching and research laboratory renovations with energy use intensities less than 100 kBtu/sf/year.

Developing creative sustainable design solutions that achieve the lightest environmental impact is a critical part of our design vision for every project.  We are deeply committed to our role as stewards of the environment, understanding that our building designs impact not only the physical features of our planet, but also the health and well-being of the people who inhabit it.
